Free sashiko quilt。

循環素材の布生地を手染めして自由に刺し子しました。とても手触りの良い布生地で、おそらく絹だと思います。古布です。よく見てみると、ぽつぽつと穴や織り目がとんでいる箇所が点在していました。昨年の真夏、ふと思い立ち、畑で栽培していた蓼藍の生葉といただいた臭木の実をすり潰し混ぜて染めました。染め方は、太陽の光をかりる方法です。以前煮染めをした際に電力や火力を使わない方法で染めることができたなら .. という想いが芽生え、太陽染めにトライしてみたくなりました。灼熱の陽光にあてられた透明な保存瓶は、瞬く間に温かくなっていきました。太陽の存在は偉大ですね。絞り染めのように折り畳んでいた古布は極淡いよもぎ色に染まりました。一期一会の色合いです。小さな穴をほどよくカバーしながら、染まった色合いに紋様を足してみる感覚で自由に針を運びました。不規則な縫い紋様を見ていると、まるで根のような木々の枝葉のような、目を閉じながら歩く足跡のような不思議な紋様だなぁと感じます。針を置いて眺めていると、ただの古布な気もするし、ただの古布でもないような気もするし、、、なんだか不思議な古布が生まれました。お顔に巻いたり首元に巻いたり、肩に乗せたり、髪を結んでみたり、腰に巻いてみたり、、、とにかく自由に使っていただけたら嬉しいです。貝殻のようにも見えるボタンを1つ縫い付けました。反対側にあるループに引っ掛けるとボレロのように肩に乗せることもできる仕様です。長さ約90cm×幅約36cm 。キルトの色合いは徐々に変化します。その変化もお楽しみください。お手入れはネットに入れて穏やかモードもしくは手洗いをおすすめします。Instagramも時折更新しています。お気軽に覗いてみてください。→ @ki_ssa_ko2022
I hand-dyed a recycled fabric and sashiko-ed it freely. It's a very pleasant-to-the-touch fabric, probably silk. It's old fabric. Looking closely, there are holes and uneven weave here and there. Last summer, I had a sudden idea and crushed the fresh leaves of the Japanese knotweed plant I was growing in my field and the berries of the Japanese stink tree, mixed them together, and dyed them. I had received the berries from N, who also loves plants, and she said, "If you like, please use them for dyeing." (I had them frozen. Thank you, N.S.) The dyeing method this time is a method that uses sunlight. When I previously tried boiling dyeing, I had a thought that if I could dye without electricity or heat... I wanted to try solar dyeing. (I learned about the solar dyeing method from a book that happened to be lent to me by N.O, who loves plants.) The transparent storage jar exposed to the scorching sunlight quickly became warm. The presence of the sun is great. The old cloth, which had been folded like tie-dyed, was dyed a very light mugwort color. It's a once-in-a-lifetime color. I moved the needle freely, trying to cover the small holes and add a pattern to the dyed color.
