Free sashiko あずまぶくろ。

あずま袋に自由に刺し子をしました。こちらのあずま袋は、近隣の福祉事業所のみなさんと一緒に製作したもので、事業所の方々によってミシンで縫製されています。袋に使用した布は、取り残されていたセカンドハンド生地です。あずま袋の良いところは、使わないときは折りたたんで小さくなること。わたし自身も普段はリュックにあずま袋を忍ばせて図書館で借りた本を入れたり、スーパーで購入した野菜を入れたり、マグカップを包んだり、お弁当を入れたり、多目的に使用しています。今回は袋の無地部分に波をイメージして刺し子をしてみたくなりました。波の紋様は、水や風や心の様子を表現しています。暮らしていると、悩んだり葛藤したり、さまざまな感情がうねるようにぐねぐねと波打つこともありますが、そんな時、ふと一歩引いて、その状態をみてみると、その状態そのものが実は尊いんだなぁと思うことがあります。不思議ですね。みっちり刺し子をせずに余白を残しました。袋を使っていく過程で、使ってくださる方が自由に刺し足して手を加えることを楽しみ、育てるように永く使ってもらえたらいいなぁ〜と思っています。サイズ約35cm×約35cm
I sashikoed the Azuma bag freely. This Azuma bag was made together with the people at a nearby welfare facility and was sewn by the people at the facility with a sewing machine. The fabric used for the bag was second-hand fabric that had been left behind. The good thing about the Azuma bag is that it can be folded up and made small when not in use. I myself usually carry an Azuma bag in my backpack and use it for various purposes, such as putting books borrowed from the library, vegetables purchased at the supermarket, wrapping mugs, and putting lunch boxes in it. This time, I wanted to try sashiko on the plain part of the bag with the image of waves. The wave pattern represents the state of water, wind, and the heart. In life, there are times when we worry, struggle, and various emotions sway like undulations, but at such times, if we take a step back and look at the state, we sometimes think that the state itself is actually precious. It's strange. I left some space without sashikoing it tightly. I hope that as you use the bag, you will enjoy adding to it as you like, and that you will use it for a long time, as if it were growing. Size: Approx. 35cm x 35cm
